Taxi Split

Split, Croatia's second-largest city, grew in and around Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved Roman monuments in the world. The Riva waterfront, the trails of Marjan hill and the ferry port for Hvar, Brač and the outer islands are all close to the centre.

Common taxi rides run from Split Airport to the city centre, to Trogir and Kaštela, and along the coast to Omiš and Makarska. Many trips go to the ferries for Hvar and Brač, south towards Dubrovnik or to the Roman ruins of Salona in Solin.

The narrow old-town streets, the busy port and the suburbs make Split a city where a driver who knows the roads saves time.
